Still riding high from yesterday’s complete Pool WAI conquest, we drove for 20 minutes with MAX hunger… Check it out! We arrived at “Sushi Choshimaru Chofu” on the way back to central Tokyo!
After the pool, when you’re hungry and need something everyone will love, it’s gotta be sushi or BBQ. Today, sushi all the way! Let’s go SUSHI!
20 Minutes Wait? No problem! It’s WORTH IT!

Choshimaru offers great prices and quality among conveyor belt sushi chains. It’s popular so you gotta be ready to wait. But hey, Worth the wait!
I visit various locations around Kanto sometimes, and the sushi chef skills vary by person. But this Chofu location is… AMAZING!
The Thickness of These Cuts is INSANE!
Wait a minute! HOLD UP! Look at this salmon gunkan-maki!
The thickness is CRAZY. Like, what happened? The cuts are so luxuriously thick I’m worried they might be losing money! This is INSANE!
Well, it’s not a budget conveyor belt sushi place, so they’re not losing money. Good prices but great value. Satisfaction level off the charts! Quality over everything!
Ultimate Crab × Crab Miso Combo!
OH MY GOD! Look at this! Crab miso piled on top of crab!
This is just unfair! Too good to be true! The crab fibers are firm, topped with rich crab miso… it’s a crab party in my mouth! Double crab action!
You eat till you’re full and then you’re like, wait, this price? That’s what I call good value. Best bang for your buck!
Silver-Skinned Fish Game is Professional!
Check this out! This shiny, gleaming mackerel! Beautiful!
The salmon, mackerel, engawa - everything’s substantial. You can really bite into it. Not like those paper-thin sushi toppings you usually get. It’s like, wait, are the width and height reversed? (OK, exaggerating a bit) They really dominate your mouth with their presence!
Aburi Technique is Next Level!
BEAUTIFUL! This aburi sushi, isn’t it art?
It literally melts in your mouth. During the day, the sun melted us, but now delicious toppings are melting in our mouths. It melts in your mouth!
The lemon, white onion, and black pepper toppings are perfect! This is what I call perfection!
Family-Friendly Pricing!
Drinks like oolong tea are cheap too, so you can order without thinking twice. They really thought about their customers with the menu and pricing. Family friendly pricing!
The kids were going crazy - “Daddy! I want this too!” “I want that too!” But it’s OK, it’s wallet-friendly! Go ahead kids!
Perfect Location! But Be Careful Driving Home!
There’s a Yakiniku King across the street too - perfect food location. Location, location, location! Though we had to wait 20 minutes near closing time.
It’s like a reward for playing hard till evening. Well deserved treat!
Once you’re full, it’s straight home on the Chuo Expressway. But traffic can be heavy, and the Chuo Expressway is narrow with only 2 lanes, so drive carefully home. Drive safe, people!
Remember, the field trip isn’t over till you get home. Safety first, always!

ALRIGHT! Playing hard at Yomiuriland Pool WAI, then stuffing ourselves at Sushi Choshimaru! This is the perfect summer day!
Fresh sushi nutrients soaking into our tired post-pool bodies! Kids are happy, wallet is happy, everyone’s happy!

P.S. When I walked into the sushi place with my sunburned red face from the pool, the staff looked worried (LOL). But after eating delicious sushi, I’m 100% energized! Sushi power is real!
